Stagecoach Trails Alpacas acquired its first alpaca in 2004 to begin building its current elite, world-class herd. A daily passion that the owner takes seriously, the Company’s herd now has 48 alpacas, including 7 pregnant breeding females and proven herdsires. As the herd has grown, the quality of the herd has also risen through consistent up-breeding by bringing in the top quality bloodlines in North America. The herd consists of the finest quality foundation dams found anywhere, and the service sires have consistently proved themselves in the show ring by earning numerous championship honors. The Company believes its Huacaya genetics are some of the most advanced in the industry. Bloodlines now included in the herd are Snowmass Matrix (top selling male alpaca of all time), Snowmass Xxxtreme, Royal Fawn, Snowmass Supernova’s Legacy, Pperuvian Vengador, Pperuvian Victor, and Hemingway. The Company believes curvature, frequency and consistency of crimp are indicative of fineness. Histogram numbers each year confirm that belief. In the end, it is the fine end-products that the Company ultimately seeks to contribute to the Alpaca fleece industry and global world markets.
