Peruvian Avalon is the son of Snowmass Millenium and
full brother
to Peruvian Abundance, two of Magical Farm's premier
white
studs.
When we saw Abundance winning championship after
championship, we looked for females bred to Millenium
and as luck
would have it, we purchased his dam Alexa who is now an
important part of our foundation herd.
Much to our delight, Avalon has shown that he can carry
on his
family's winning ways. In some extremely large classes
at the North
American and MaPaca in 2005, he won two blues. At the
North
American, Mike Safley commented that his fleece was
"exquisite"
and that he was "heads above the other 9 juveniles in
his class."
When he saw him again at MaPaca, he again put him at the
top of
his class above 12 males from some of the most respected
breeding programs in the country!
At the 2006 North American Alpaca Show, Amanda VandenBosch awarded him second place in a huge class of yearling white males commenting on his presence, beautiful conformation and chest capacity. She also commented on his brightness and said that he had the finest fleece in the class with the best handle and longest staple.
His fleece has tiny, multiple crimps per inch and
extremely long,
well defined staples. He also posseses that fineness and
blinding
brightness that you would expect from this cross of
Accoyo Legacy
and Hemingway lines.
Avalon is proudly owned in partnership with Alpaca Hill Farm,
