When all my males are out grazing during a farm visit, people always want to know who that gorgeous champagne colored boy is.
Well, he is none other than El Toro, a magnificent twelve year old male, imported through the Chilean station in the final year of the importations.
El Toro is a charter member of the Studmaster Program, and his cria are show-stoppers.
His fleece still is just north of 25 AFD, his CV would be wonderful to see on a yearling.
Most important of all, he is conferring his extreme fineness to his offspring with regularity.
We have bred him to bay black and true maroon here, and got a light fawn male from the bay black and a vicuna shaded gorgeous light brown female from the maroon dam.
El Toro is only at our farm for a two month period, for all of August and September, but we certainly love the work he has done for us during that short space of time!
