The Power of Pedigree!
PH Camelot's Challenger is a magnificent dark brown male with black points. Repeatedly noted by judges as the total package. He won his first two Blue Ribbons and a Color Championship at eight months of age and took his third Blue Ribbon at the 2004 North American Alpaca Show as the youngest yearling in a class of 14. He then went on to take a 2nd Place at the highly competitive All American Alpaca Futurity. He continued his Blue Ribbon winning streak at the 2004 Empire Extravaganza, the 2005 North American Alpaca Show, and the 2005 MAPACA Jubilee!
He is a nominated herdsire for the Celebrity Sales Futurity Show and Sale
Challenger has solid bone, crimpy fine dense fleece with coverage from his nose to his toes. His one year staple length at the 2004 shearing measured almost six inches! In 2005, Challenger sheared a WHOPPING 10.2 POUNDS with a staple length of almost 7 inches (one year's growth). These qualities are hard to find in a dark animal. Challenger's sire, 5P Camelot, was the importer's choice to keep for his own breeding program.
Challenger's neck fiber is so fine and crimpy with a long staple that we used it for skeins and it won 2nd place in the 2006 AOBA National Skein Competition! Just imagine running your fingers through his downy blanket.
