We are proud to offer Archangel's Malachi as a herdsire option for our customers. He has outstanding phenotype, conformation, presence, and a fine, dense fleece, with excellent staple length!
Malachi has been an impressive presence in the show ring, winning the Fawn Color Championship at the 2008 Empire Alpaca Extravaganza. He also took First Place at the 2008 Futurity, with Judge Amanda VandenBosch commenting that "he walked in the ring with a purpose and that he knows just how beautiful he really is!" She further noted that he had "the finest fleece in the class, with an amazing staple length, and has a bright healthy fleece with a beautiful handle. The complete package"! In addition, Judge Mike Safley awarded Malachi the Blue Ribbon at the 2008 North American in a huge class of fawn juvis.
Malachi offers a unique combination of genetics, which includes Augusto, Mr President, Legacy, Snowmass Legacy Gold, Vengador, Bolivar, Drambuie, Don Julio, and, of course, CCNF Archangel (who is no longer available for outside stud services).
Malachi has begun breeding and is currently standing stud at Quarry Ridge Alpacas until the end of October 2009. After that, he will be back in our neck of the woods and will be available for drive-by, mobile, or conventional breedings here at Silver Oak Farm. Malachi is currently limited to ten outside breedings per year.
We are proud to co-own Malachi with our partners at Alpaca Grove!
