NEAOBA BOD Meeting
April 11, 2012

1. Approval of March 14, 2012 minutes
There was a motion made and seconded to accept the minutes as emailed.
2. Treasurer’s Report
Lennie has done the reports as comparatives and the BOD has found it very helpful to
be in this format.
Two vet fees from the Seminar were mailed this morning.
The bill for the NEAOBA News spring edition is still outstanding. The checks that
Lennie has received have been deposited, but the bill has not been received.
Checks should be on the way to Lennie from NEAF and $75 of them is for a
membership renewal.
3. Seminar Wrap Up
According to Lennie, the speakers’ fees were mailed today.
4. Events
NEAF update
The deadline has been extended to the 15th of April. The fleece show entries
are are slowly coming in. They can be mailed in. There is a walk through on April 28 at
the fairgrounds.
Green Mountain Update
Ursula Munro is the one day judge and Cheryl Gehly will be there for two days.
There was a short discussion about choosing a show superintendent. A budget needs
to be formulated first. The Van Gelders want to get all certification to go in together.
Lennie and Pam will talk to them tomorrow and report back to the Board at the next
meeting.
NAAS meeting
There was a fairly good crowd that attended the short membership meeting at North
American.
The Big E
Pam Stenman feels like the alpaca fleece presence needs to be bigger and was
wondering if there is anything that NEAOBA can so to push that more. Mike will be
seeing her soon and will ask her exactly what she would like us to do.
5. Marketing Committee report
There was nothing to report this month.
6. Membership Committee
Even though Bill will no longer be on the BOD, he will continue to take care of the
membership portion and email the updates to the Board. There are currently 148
members, up 8 members since last meeting.
