NEAOBA Fibery Fun Weekend

8:30 to 4:30 for day 1 

                                                       8:30 to end for day 2.

Saturday August 26th- Day 1

  • Selecting fleece suitable for hand/home processing
  • Washing fleece without felting
  • Dyeing sad fleece (submersion dyeing)
  • Dyeing mill produced roving (kettle/freckle dyeing)
  • Dyeing either bamboo, firestart roving or yarn (choose 1 of these) hand painting
  • Marketing online, at festivals, and packaging

Sunday August 27th - Day2

  • Using a drum carder or handcards
  • Different fiber blend effects (alpaca fleece blended with multiple types of blending fibers)
  • Making layered, striped and blended batts
  • Making pulled roving and roland off a carder

 

Price: NEAOBA farm members - $200 for both days

  Non-NEAOBA farm members - $275 for both days
