The Alpaca Registry, Inc.

This organization maintains a national alpaca registry that verifies blood lines and ancestry of all registered alpacas. You can search the Registry's database online if you are a member of ARI. ARI also sponsors research into alpaca genetics and health. Visit the ARI website for more information.

ALSA Logo ALSA is an organization whose purpose is to enhance the visibility of llamas and alpacas. It establishes guidelines for all shows. Most alpaca and llama shows have various classes of animals ranging from performance classes to halter/conformation classes. All shows approved by ALSA are judged by ALSA certified judges.

The New England Animal Health Institute (NEAHI) is a nonprofit organization with headquarters in Chester, Vermont. The purpose of the Institute is to conduct educational and research programs on behalf of large animal companion and farm animal species. Research conducted by the Institute emphasizes a practical and humane approach to improving animal health care. The Institute also conducts educational programs for animal owners and veterinarians on a range of practical subjects.
