1. Receive invitation from newsgroup moderator.
2. Reply to invitation either by using clicking "reply", then "send" OR by clicking the direct link included in the invitation (will be listed as option 2).
3. You are now signed up and will be able to post messages to the membership (according to the rules) by simply sending an email to neaoba@yahoogroups.com.

At this point you are signed up using all the system defaults. This means that you will receive an email each time a message is posted to the message board. You actually have 3 options available to you for message delivery:

1. Individual email (default) – each time a message is posted you will receive an email.
2. Daily Digest—each night, Yahoo will combine any messages posted for the previous day into one email and deliver it to you.
3. No email—you can be a member of the newsgroup, but opt to view messages on the newsgroup’s message board rather than receive emails directly.


There are several steps to change this option. The first depends on whether you currently have a Yahoo ID. If you don’t already have a Yahoo ID:

4. Go to http://groups.yahoo.com/mygroups.
5. Click "Register"
6. Fill out and submit form (only takes a minute)
7. Click on "Continue to Yahoo" to proceed

If you already have a Yahoo ID:

8. Go to http://groups.yahoo.com/mygroups
9. Click on "Account Wizard"
10. Enter your email address (where your NEAOBA newsgroups invitation was sent) and click "Continue".
11. You may be prompted for an authorization code. If you are, the code should have already been sent to your email address. Go there to retrieve the code, type it in the required field, and click "Continue".
12. You may then be prompted for your Yahoo ID password. Type the password you use to logon to your Yahoo ID account.
13. You should now see a message of congratulations. Your email should be linked to your Yahoo ID and you should see the NEAOBA newsgroup listed in "My Groups".

Now you can logon to http://groups.yahoo.com/mygroups any time you like using your Yahoo ID and password. From this site, you will be able to:
